Sunbury Shores – Second Annual Guess Who? Mystery Celebrity Art Auction
Saturday October 1st I will be participating in a mystery art auction at Sunbury Shores Arts & Nature Centre in St. Andrews by-the-sea to raise funds to continue to provide arts/nature education for children (and adults) of all ages.
Local and national artists, craftspeople, writers, musicians, actors, radio / television personalities, politicians have been “getting creative” with 6″ x 8″ pieces of canvas. The names of the “creators” will be signed on the backs of each work of art so buyers won’t know who’s work they are buying until they’ve bought it.
There will be works of art from wildlife artist, environmentalist and naturalist Robert Bateman, CTV meteroligist Cindy Day, comedian Lorne Elliott, pulitzer prize winning author and columnist Dave Barry, comedian actor and writer Brent Butt, artist, poet and playwright Hermenegilde Chiasson, CTV personality Jeff Hutcheson, author C.B. Forrest, artist William Forrestall, actress, artist and writer Marilyn Lightstone, children’s author Robert Munsch, singer, songwriter and producer (54-40) Neil Osborne, photographer and writer Freeman Patterson and broadcaster and media pioneer Moses Znaimer.

Saint John Arts Centre – On Solid Ground
August through October I will be exhibiting in the Bicentennial and Canada Games Galleries on the second floor of the Saint John Arts Centre. On Solid Ground opens August 19th, 5:30 to 7:30 pm and features both miniature and large landscape paintings. This exhibit runs through the summer until October 22.

The Saint John Arts Centre is located at 20 Hazen Avenue, Saint John New Brunswick. The galleries are open Tuesday through Saturday, 9am-5pm. Admission is free.

Ingrid Mueller Art + Concepts – Two
Ingrid Mueller Art + Concepts presents two exciting exhibitions opening March 25, 2011. The Kids on the Block, an inspiring, exciting exhibit showcasing the excellence of contemporary Atlantic Canadian art. The collection includes highly acclaimed artists Romeo Savoie, recent recipient of the Order of Canada, Glenn Priestley, Nancy King Schofield, Brian Burke, Joey Haley, Martha Fleury, and Adam MacDonald. Also showcasing are emerging artists Amy Ash, Jack Bishop, Andrea Brewer, Ryan Livingstone, Jared Peters, Deanna Musgrave, Susan Pierce, Alex Schofield and Stephen Williams.
Line Lagace Basque – Saturday, an exhibit of oil paintings by Fredericton artist Line Lagace Basque featuring individual vignettes of activities included in the lives of children on a Saturday. The series consists of 10 paintings and features many landmarks of Fredericton. Line Lagace Basque’s sensitive and technically skilled paintings take the viewer to a place of peace and serenity.
Both exhibits open Friday March 25, 6-8pm, 98 Regent St, Fredericton.

Relocation – a group exhibit to celebrate the move to 98 Regent St., featuring gallery artists Philip Iverson, Rick Burns, Gordon Dunphy, Brian Burke, Wayne Boucher, Jennifer Pazienza, Deanna Musgrave, Susan Pierce, Jonathan Johnson, Joey Haley, Jack Bishop, Peter Thomson and Jared Peters. Pottery by Judy Blake and Maja Padrov, jewelery by Aidan Stanley, woodturning by Brian Dunphy, and Andrew Ross. Sculptures by Peter Powning, Sister Marie Helene Allain and Derick Piens.

Fredericton Arts Alliance Artists in Residence – City Exhibition
During the months of October and November, the City of Fredericton will host an exhibition featuring artists who participated in the Artist in Residence Summer Series. Featured artists include: Susan Pierce, Joanne Barfitt , Shanie Stozek, Katherine Moller, John MacDermid, Derek Davidson, Marilyn Mazerolle, Jacqueline Bourque, Erin Hamilton, Carol Collicutt, WhiteFeather, Brian Dykeman, Tony Robinson Smith, Deanna Musgrave, Andrew Miller, Cynthia Ryder, Leigh Merritt, Ted Boothroyd, Gerard Beirne, Marsha Clark, Jasmine Cull, Michael MacQuay, and Barbara Telford.
Each artist spent a week in residency at the York Sunbury Museum in downtown Fredericton. They created a temporary studio providing the public with an opportunity to talk with them, learn about their inspiration and creation, and witness professional art in the making.
Opening reception is Tuesday, Oct 5th, 5-6pm @ 397 Queen Street, Fredericton, NB.
Gallery hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm. There is no charge for admission.
